Mike Baust Graduated Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He started his career as a Civil Engineer where he designed and managed single family, multifamily and commercial developments. He cross trained in water and wastewater design and was a liaison to a local Planning Board for engineering matters. Mike broadened his experience while working as lead developer for national firms and top builders. This cross training gives Mike an appreciation for project details from early conception through final construction.
With 20 years of experience, Clark has held careers in various capacities including public accounting, investment banking, and corporate finance. He received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia and then moved on to receive his Master of Business Administration at the College of William and Mary. Clark has been working with Wakefield Development since 2006, focusing primarily on project finance and land acquisitions for the Sandler real estate development and investment portfolio.
Brittney has 18 years of experience in civil engineering and land development. She is registered as a professional engineer in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, has LEED AP accreditation, and is certified by the Virginia DEQ as a combined administrator of Erosion and Sediment Control and stormwater management. She is currently working on numerous projects in Coastal Virginia, Northeastern North Carolina, and the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina.
Catherine has 25 years of experience managing residential land development projects. Her project involvement includes performing due diligence, selecting and providing guidance to the design team of engineers, architects and surveyors to ensure a smooth transition from design to construction. She has managed residential projects having from 20 lots to 1,500 lots in the Hampton Roads, northeastern North Carolina and Myrtle Beach markets.
Russell has been active in North & South Carolina development along coast for more than 15 years. He has experience in surveying, civil engineering, land planning & project management. His experience along with his work at local Planning & Engineering Departments allow him to facilitate ideas to plans, through the approval process and into community development.
Rick Ryan has been in land development along the Grand Strand of South Carolina for close to 50 years. His length of time in the industry has helped him develop valuable relationships with subcontractors and city and state officials. Rick offers experience in surveys, civil design, infrastructure and construction management expertise.
Ryan is experienced in a range of land development and project management in the Virginia and North Carolina regions. His role includes project management support, bond management, preparation of governing documents and HOA management, along with building relationships between Wakefield Development and state and local agencies.
As HOA Coordinator, Diane serves as a liaison for Association Management Teams on behalf of various Declarant Boards in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts, a Master of Education, and brings both a decade-long educational career and years of Association Management to the role. Diane assists with document review, internal HOA information and timelines, provides guidance on Association budgets and contracts, reviews architectural/exterior modification requests, and helps forecast and manage final Community transitions to homeowner Boards.
